Testing duties will include earthwork, foundation, concrete, steel, masonry, and paving inspection at job sites.

Testing duties include earthwork, foundation, concrete, steel, masonry, paving, and other construction materials at construction sites and in our labs. Interns work closely with project managers and other staff members to ensure timely, quality work.
G2 Consulting Group is looking for a full-time engineering technician to join our Lake Zurich, Illinois (Chicagoland) team. The position is telecom focused and the technician will primarily assist with construction observation, testing, report preparation, and foundation mapping surveys. Testing duties will primarily include foundations, reinforcing steel, and concrete. The technician will work closely with project managers and other staff members to ensure timely, quality work. Some travel is required for the position and the technician must have the ability to go out of town on short notice, typically for a duration of 2 to 3 days.
